Monday, September 30 - Day 1

The winner of the library wordle is Araina Parihar. Please head to the library to collect your prize! 

Honors Chorus Auditions will be held on Thursday, October 10th at 2:30 in the Chorus room. If you love to sing with others, come on down and Audition!  You can prepare about a minute of a piece that highlights your voice. Please join our Schoology class on the clubs list for more information and helpful hints!

Tuesday

Homework Club Room 256

6th Grade After School Sports: Various team sports and activities are offered such as Table Tennis, Basketball, Football, racquet sports, backyard games, & much more. 2:25-3:25 Doyle Gym 

Unified Bocce Team: Join our new Special Olympics Unified Bocce Team! All are welcome, regardless of experience. Join us to play and grow as a team. Practices will be held on Tuesday and Thursday from 2:30 - 3:30 starting October 1st until mid-November. There will be one off-site Jamboree where our team will play against other schools to wrap up the season.

Yoga Club: This club is geared towards learning and practicing different styles of yoga. Not only is yoga a great way to stay fit and flexible, but it can also relieve stress and anxiety. Each session lasts for 30-40 minutes. Please come ready to participate in comfortable clothes.  Join schoology: GW9P-887W-ZBBJ   The first Yoga Club meeting will take place Tuesday after school until 3:15.  Please meet Mrs. Santos in the Doyle Gym.  All are welcome.

Chess Club: Join your classmates in a fun game of Chess!  All abilities are welcome from beginners to experienced players.  Checkmate! Conference Room 2:25pm-3:25pm

Thursdays

Any students who attend breakfast in the cafeteria must remain seated while eating and return to their grade level morning space after eating. 

Today, Homework Club will take place in room 203, Mrs. McNally's room.

Friday, October 4 - Day 6

All grade 8 related arts classes (including music literacy) will go to FIRST LUNCH on ensemble days. Music ensembles will go to THIRD lunch.

The classrooms for Health and Media Literacy/Guidance Seminar have permanently switched.  Health now meets in Room 252. Media literacy/Guidance Seminar now meets in Room 257.

Jazz Ensemble will meet this afternoon from 3-4. Feel free to come down early and help pack up from ensemble day.

HMS Summer Reading, Grades 6-8

Students will be expected to read two books this summer. One must be a fiction “novel of choice”.  Students can choose any novel they would like to read over the summer and prepare to discuss it in class upon return to school in the fall.  The second book can be either fiction or nonfiction. Please reference the  Summer Reading Assignment for more information.
